Every service, your message lands exactly right in the room. But the congregation watching from home hears something different — and that gap costs you credibility, reach, and the people who can't be there. You deserve a production department that finds the root cause, designs the fix, and stays until your audience hears what your room hears. That's what JMG builds for institutions that don't have one.
The Insight
80% of church and institutional livestream problems trace back to two root causes: LED brightness mismatch and absent front key lighting. Most institutions have already spent serious money on audio and video gear — the problem is that nobody designed the system to the room, calibrated it correctly, or trained the team running it.
That gap — between what happens live and what your audience actually experiences — means people stop watching. They don't come back. And your institution's message, which deserves broadcast quality equal to its weight, reaches fewer people every week.
"One institution had spent three years and thousands of dollars troubleshooting their broadcast. We found the root cause in twenty minutes — without replacing a single piece of equipment. Their online audience tripled in ninety days."

Who This Is For
Every vertical has a different way of working, a different set of pressures, and a different definition of success. JMG adapts to your world — not the other way around.
Your congregation at home should see what the room sees. When the broadcast falls short, you lose the people who can't be there — and they don't tell you why they stopped watching. JMG closes that gap so your message reaches everyone it's meant to reach.
Churches · Synagogues · Temples · Mosques · Independent Ministries
Your auditorium has equipment nobody knows how to use properly. Your graduations and theatrical productions deserve to sound and look professional — for the students, for the parents, and for the institution's reputation. JMG makes that happen within your budget cycle.
NYC Public Schools · Charter Schools · Municipal Organizations
You know what you need — you need someone who shows up on time with broadcast-grade gear that works. Multicam ISO, live sound, equipment rental. Specs sheet on request. Deliverables on deadline.
Creative Agencies · Live Concert Productions · Corporate Media Teams
How It Works
Every JMG engagement starts with listening — understanding your room, your goals, and the specific gap between what's happening and what should be — before we ever touch a piece of gear.
Free 90-minute calibration session. We walk your broadcast environment — audio signal path, camera placement, lighting, stream output — and write a diagnosis you can read and act on. No commitment required beyond the session.
A production solution matched to your space, your budget, and your people. We install, calibrate, and train your operators on-site. We stay until your team is confident — not until our clock runs out.
30-day check-in call. 60-day system review. 100-day health check. Most firms disappear after load-out. JMG stays in your corner for the first hundred days because that's when the real questions come up — and that's when your team needs a partner, not a manual.
Questions
Transparent answers to the questions most production firms avoid — including the ones about money.
Still Have Questions? We walk your existing broadcast environment — audio signal path, camera placement, lighting, and livestream output — and identify the specific gaps causing quality problems. You leave with a written diagnosis and recommended action plan. No commitment required beyond the session.
Yes — and it's one of our specialties. We don't replace your volunteers. We calibrate the system so their work actually sounds and looks right. We'll also train your team to operate at a higher level with the gear you already have.
Absolutely. Our Gear & Go package puts Sony FX3 cameras, lenses, and tripods in your hands for $695/day. DiGiCo consoles, Teradek wireless, and lighting are all available standalone. We include a 30-minute orientation call with every rental.
Yes. We serve institutions across Brooklyn, Queens, and beyond — nationally for events. Travel costs are always included transparently in project proposals — no surprises.
An AV contractor configures the system and leaves. JMG operates as your institution's production department — we diagnose the root cause, design a lasting solution, train your team, and follow up at 30, 60, and 100 days. We're not here to sell you equipment you don't need. We're here to close the gap between what happens in the room and what your audience actually experiences.
The first 90 minutes are always free. After that, consulting is $125/hour. Packages range from $695/day (equipment rental) to $5,800/day (full production with crew). A one-time infrastructure engagement is $3,200 flat. We publish our pricing because you shouldn't have to call just to find out if you can afford us.
If your institution already has a fully staffed, experienced production team and your broadcast system is performing the way you want it to — you don't need JMG. We also don't do installs-only without a diagnostic first. If you just need someone to mount a TV or run cable without understanding the system, we'll refer you to someone who specializes in that.
A qualified in-house AV technician typically costs $45,000–$65,000/year in salary alone — before equipment, training, and benefits. JMG's infrastructure engagement is a one-time $3,200 with a 100-day follow-up. For institutions with weekly needs, a JMG production retainer provides the same continuity as a hire at a fraction of the cost — without the HR overhead.
About JMG
Obed James started JMG after years of watching churches and schools pour money into broadcast equipment that never performed the way it should — not because the gear was wrong, but because nobody in the room spoke both languages: the technical language of broadcast engineering and the institutional language of ministry, education, and community.
JMG exists to be the production department your institution doesn't have. Not a vendor who shows up, patches cables, and disappears. A partner who diagnoses the actual problem, designs a system your people can run, trains them to run it, and stays in your corner for a hundred days after the work is done.
Institutions served across faith, education, and media — each one left with a system their team can operate independently
NYC-registered vendor — DOE-approved for public school and municipal institutions
Every engagement includes a 100-day follow-through — because the real questions come after load-out, not during it
Broadcast-grade inventory maintained to standard — DiGiCo consoles, Sony Cinema Line cameras, DaVinci Resolve post-production
"Your institution's message deserves broadcast quality equal to its weight."
— James Media Group · Brooklyn, NY
